One Year of Wonderful...

(Big Birthday Weekend Post To Follow...)

This is my second of three posts about Jasper-boy turning one. What a difference a year makes! As I look at the difference between his hospital picture and his pumpkin patch picture it makes me marvel at how fast time flies. A year ago I was just getting to know this little boy; one year later I don't know life without him--he is truly my best friend and I live for my life for him. I have shed more than a few tears about Jasper turning one. Every birthday he has will in turn make me older too. Here are some things I LOVE about you Jasper:

You still smell good all the time!
You're a good sleeper, good eater, and have a wonderful temperament
You laugh at the silliest things and have the silliest faces
You are always in a good mood
You know Mommy and Daddy would do anything for you and you sometimes take advantage of that
You have some goofy teeth--8 front and a molar--that I wish would never change
You love to play ALL the time
You have some wonderful friends who you've known most of your life
Your hugs and kisses that you give out freely whenever I ask--sometimes tongue kisses and sometimes bite the lip kisses
Your big brown (yes they finally turned completely brown) eyes and long lashes

I don't want to get all sentimental about my Mommy, but I can't help but think of everything she is missing out on. When Jasper is sleeping I can see my Momma. I'm not sure if it is in his jaw line or just the peaceful look he has. The moment he wakes up I can see my Momma in his sleepy big eyes. I could watch him sleep forever just to be reminded of her.

Happy Birthday my little Jasper-boy. You have brought us one year of wonderful! You are an amazing gift to us that I could not imagine living so long without.

Leading up to One

October was a busy month leading up to my first birthday. I have such a silly personality and Mommy says I get sillier every day.

Cleo and I are best friends. She loves to take naps on my lap.
Me with my Mommy and Daddy
Some of the birds at Powers Farm
Pumpkin hunting at Powers Farm with my PopPop and cousins

I finally decided that clapping my hands is fun.
If asked what a lion says I reply "roar" (really ferocious)...if asked what a cow says I reply "roar"(really ferocious).
I insist on feeding myself.
I love to give kisses and hugs.
I love to climb stairs as fast as I can.
I don't want any part in trying to walk on my own.
I took sign language class with my Mom and Dad.
I'm as tall as a 21 month old.
